Admission Process

Undergraduate Admissions For Indian Institute of Science - Bengaluru:

Candidates applying for the Bachelor of Science (Research) program have two channels to choose from. The first is the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel, catering to those with a valid KVPY fellowship. The second is the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) (JEE Advanced) channel, intended for candidates with a valid JEE Advanced score. Shortlisted candidates from both channels are required to undergo an aptitude test and participate in an interview.

Postgraduate Admissions For Indian Institute of Science - Bengaluru:

IISc offers Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), and Master of Management (M.Mgt.) programs.

M.Sc. Program:

Admission is determined by the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM). Shortlisted candidates, based on JAM scores, undergo an interview to assess their academic and research aptitude.

M.Tech. Program:

Admission is through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Candidates with competitive GATE scores are shortlisted for an interview and, in some cases, a written test.
