CUET Exam 2024 Preparation Tips

CUET is a nationwide entrance examination known for its high level of competition. Candidates preparing for this exam must devise a strategic approach to achieve high scores and successfully qualify. Here are some recommended preparation strategies for CUET aspirants.

  • Initially, candidates ought to familiarize themselves with the exam's format and structure. Subsequently, students should acquire top-quality study materials for CUET preparation.
  • Once they've grasped the concepts of each section and subject, students should identify their strengths and weaknesses. They should concentrate on improving their weaknesses by pinpointing the root causes and seeking assistance from mentors or peers.
  • Upon completing the syllabus, it's essential to regularly take mock tests and assess performance. Practicing with previous years’ question papers will also familiarize them with the topics and question formats likely to appear in the actual exam.
  • Finally, maintaining confidence is crucial for success in CUET.

CUET Exam 2024 Normalisation Process

As the CUET exam spans multiple days, slots, and subjects, it's crucial to implement a normalization procedure. Some candidates might face a tougher set of questions compared to others, potentially affecting their scores. This discrepancy makes direct score comparisons across shifts unreliable. Normalizing marks across shifts is essential to enable fair comparisons.

As per the CUET 2024 normalization process outlined by the National Testing Agency (NTA), each candidate's raw score in every subject will undergo normalization using the Equi-percentile method. This normalization occurs separately for subjects held in multiple shifts. However, subjects conducted in a single shift won't undergo this process.

CUET Exam 2024 Counselling

The CUET 2024 counseling procedure will be managed independently by the participating institutes. Following the announcement of results, each institute will publish its own merit list, comprising qualified candidates. Aspiring individuals must register and engage in the CUET counseling process, which will be conducted online. Typically, there are three counseling rounds, though the exact number may vary depending on seat availability. Upon declaration of seat allotment results, candidates are required to confirm their admission by personally visiting the institutes and undergoing document verification. For certain programs, interview rounds will be held in lieu of counseling; NTA will provide detailed information regarding the admission process for these programs separately in the CUET 2024 information brochure.
