JEE Advanced Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Examination Candidates in the General category must have been born on or after October 1, 1994, while those in the SC/ST/PwD category are eligible for a 5-year relaxation. Qualifying Examination To be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024, candidates must have taken the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2023 or 2024, with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.Individuals who took the Class XII (or comparable) exam for the first time in 2022 or before are ineligible. Number of Attempts Candidates are permitted to take the JEE Advanced exam twice within a span of two consecutive years. IIT Admissions Applicants must not have previously enrolled in an IIT, regardless of whether they completed the program or simply accepted the seat by reporting to the center. Candidates who have previously enrolled in an IIT but later cancelled their admission will also be deemed ineligible for JEE Advanced. JEE Main To be eligible for admission into IITs, candidates must have successfully cleared the JEE Main examination and secured a position among the top 2,50,000 candidates based on merit. Additionally, candidates must meet the cutoff criteria set for admissions into IITs. The selection process includes shortlisting 10% of candidates from the general EWS category, 27% from OBC-NCL, 15% from SC, 7.5% from ST, and the remaining 40.5% from the general category. JEE Advanced Exam 2024 Admit Card

Candidates can download their admit card for JEE Advanced 2024 from their individual login accounts. Upon successful registration and payment of the application fee, candidates receive their JEE Advanced admit card 2024, which also includes the details of their assigned test center.

On the day of the exam, individuals must carry a printed version of their downloaded admit card along with a valid, original photo identification card. The identity card may take the following forms:

JEE Advanced Exam 2024 Result

The JEE Advanced 2024 results have been declared online. To access their scores and obtain the scorecard, candidates need to log in to the official website. Moreover, notifications will be sent via text messages to candidates' registered mobile numbers. Individual rank cards will not be provided.

The marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be the sum of their scores in the respective parts of Paper 1 and Paper 2. The total score will be calculated by adding up the marks obtained in all three subjects. To qualify for JEE Advanced, candidates need to achieve a minimum percentage of marks in each subject as well as in the overall aggregate, according to their respective category.

Rankings will be determined by calculating the total marks attained. Only candidates who have appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be considered for ranking, and there will be no waiting list.

JEE Advanced Exam 2024 Counselling - JoSAA

In the current academic year, seats in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be accessible and allocated via a unified procedure managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). This allocation process will be carried out online.

Only individuals who have obtained a position in the JEE (Advanced) 2024 examination are eligible to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation process. JoSAA operates exclusively online.
